Contains leavening agents, best used for baking cakes and cookies. Excellent as a batter for frying chicken, fish, prawns and banana fritters.
Vegetable Crisps Recipe
INGREDIENTS
| 300g | Prima Self Raising Flour |
| 375g | Water |
| 30g | Chopped Spring Onions |
| 80g | Chopped Fresh Beans |
| 50g | Sliced Onions |
| 80g | Sliced Carrots |
| 80g | Sliced Cabbage |
| 7g | Chopped Chilli (optional) |
| ¾ tsp | Salt |
| ½ tsp | Pepper |
| ½ tsp | Chicken Seasoning Powder Cooking oil to fry |
PROCEDURE
- Put self raising flour, salt, pepper, chicken seasoning powder and water in a big bowl and mix well.
- Add all the vegetables one by one and mix well to form a soft batter-type dough.
- Cover with cling wrap and rest the dough for about 1 hour.
- Scoop about ¼ cup of the dough with a ladle and place it into the hot oil.
- Spread it and deep fry until golden brown.
- Serve hot with any sauce of your choice.
